Welcome to the InterMat JJ Classic Fansite.

About The InterMat JJ Classic

Sponsored by INTERMATWRESTLE.COM, the annual InterMat JJ Classic allows wrestlers from across the United States to compete in tournaments. The Classic is open to wrestlers grades 7-12 and features some of the most prestigious athletes in the industry.

How It Was Formed

On March 12, 2007, Justin Joseph (JJ) Kukowski, a huge sports fanatic, lost his battle with brain cancer. All revenues from the InterMat JJ Classic benefit the Justin Kukowski Center for Spiritual and Physical Healing which is a treatment facility created for patients dealing with life-threatening illnesses.

The Competition Format

This competition contains lots of national wrestling athletes. Wrestlers from grades 7-12, hundreds of them, participate in 32-wrestler brackets among weight classes ranging from 103 - 285 pounds. While the location of the tournament is located in the mid-west, wrestlers from all over the USA participate in this annual challenge.

The Organizers

Sponsored by InterMat, which is owned by Rev Wrestling Corporation, and organized by 360 Sports and Events Agency, a sports management corporation, the event was held in 2010 at the UCR Regional Sports Center (UCR RSC) in Rochester, Minnesota. The UCR RSC is also home to other major wrestling events such as the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Wrestling Championships, Northern Quad, and Cadet National Duals. 360 Sports and Events also organizes the All American Bowl and the Nike Coach of the Year Clinic.
